Quick answer. The Mindray BeneVision N-series (N1, N12, N15, N17, N19, N22) is Mindray's current-generation modular bedside platform, replacing the earlier BeneView T-series. Two architectural facts drive accessory selection: bedside / ICU models use Mindray's MPM acquisition module while the N1 transport monitor uses a built-in parameter set — which determines connector pinout; and SpO2 technology is selectable per unit (Mindray-native, Masimo SET, or Nellcor OxiMax), with the connector and sensor family changing with that choice. Jump to the complete directly-linked accessory list by family.

Mindray BeneVision accessory selection workflow A vertical procurement workflow for Mindray BeneVision N-series accessories, confirming model architecture, SpO2 technology, ECG trunk type, NIBP connector and mixed-fleet carryover before ordering. BeneVision N-series accessory selection workflow Confirm architecture and host technology before ordering cables, sensors or cuffs. 1 Confirm exact BeneVision model N1 transport or N12 / N15 / N17 / N19 / N22 bedside platform. Model architecture drives connector pinout. 2 Identify SpOâ‚‚ host technology Mindray-native, Masimo SET or Nellcor OxiMax may be installed per unit. This determines the sensor family. 3 Verify ECG trunk type N1 uses a 6-pin direct trunk; bedside MPM modules use a 12-pin trunk. N1 and MPM trunks are not interchangeable. 4 Check NIBP connector and cuff size Confirm adult hose, neonatal luer-slip hose, or A26 / A41 / A65 connector. Photograph the existing cuff connector. 5 Mixed-fleet final check BeneView T and BeneVision N share cuffs, electrodes and YSI-400 probes. ECG trunks and IBP cables remain generation-specific.

This is a selection hub, not a buying guide. It links MedLinket accessories matched to the BeneVision N-series, organised by parameter and by clinical scenario. For the full catalogue, see the Mindray compatible accessories collection.

How to identify your BeneVision SpO2 technology

Three ways to confirm which SpO2 technology is installed:

  1. Look at the SpO2 cable end on the MPM module: Mindray-native is a 7-pin Mindray connector; Masimo SET is the LNCS connector; Nellcor OxiMax is the 9-pin connector.
  2. Check the MPM module label — Mindray labels the SpO2 technology variant on the module casing.
  3. Check the service menu: System Information → Module Status → SpO2 → Technology.
Mindray BeneVision SpO2 technology selection guide A host-technology matching guide for Mindray BeneVision SpO2 accessories, covering Mindray-native, Masimo SET and Nellcor OxiMax sensor families. BeneVision SpOâ‚‚ technology selection guide Match the sensor family to the installed host technology, not only the monitor model. 1 Mindray-native SpOâ‚‚ 7-pin Mindray connector; common on N1 and selected Asia-Pacific units. Use Mindray-native sensors and Mindray SpOâ‚‚ extension cables. Select Mindray-native family 2 Masimo SET host LNCS connector on a Mindray-licensed Masimo board in the MPM module. Compatible cables transmit waveform; SET processing runs in the host board. Select LNCS-compatible family 3 Nellcor OxiMax host 9-pin OxiMax connector on a Nellcor-licensed configuration. Use DS-100A-style reusable or MAX-A-style disposable sensors. Select OxiMax-compatible family Procurement rule: Mindray-native, LNCS and OxiMax sensors are not interchangeable. Confirm the MPM label, service menu or current cable before purchase order release.

A wrong-technology sensor produces a "Sensor not recognized" alarm — no harm to patient or monitor. For visual references, see what "compatible" actually means.

SpO2 accessories by host technology — the rule

  • Mindray-native SpO2 — used most often on the N1 and on units sold in China and select Asia-Pacific markets, with the 7-pin Mindray connector. MedLinket Mindray-native compatible sensors include reusable adult / pediatric finger clips, an adult soft-tip sensor, a neonate wrap and a multi-site Y sensor, plus a 7-pin extension cable and disposable adhesive sensors.
  • Masimo SET — the SET algorithm runs on the Mindray-licensed Masimo board in the MPM module. MedLinket LNCS-compatible cables transmit the optical waveform and do not replicate any portion of the SET algorithm. See the Masimo LNCS / RD / rainbow compatible sensors hub.
  • Nellcor OxiMax — MedLinket offers the DS-100A-style reusable adult finger clip and MAX-A-style disposable sensor. For bench data see the Nellcor sensors on Mindray BeneVision monitors test.

Reading path by clinical scenario

Adult ICU (N15 / N17 / N19, fixed bedside)

5-lead 12-pin MPM ECG trunk plus grabber leadwires plus adult solid-gel electrodes; reusable adult finger-clip SpO2 (technology per host); adult-standard reusable NIBP cuff plus dual-tube extension; 1–2 IBP channels with a 12-pin Mindray-to-Edwards cable; YSI-400 skin temperature probe; EtCO2 if the MPM CO2 module is installed. Continuous monitoring with low patient turnover favours reusable accessories; closed-system pressure transducers reduce line entries.

Cardiac surgery OR (N22, sometimes N19)

10-lead diagnostic ECG trunk plus diagnostic leadwires plus radiolucent electrodes; reusable adult finger-clip or multi-site Y SpO2; adult-large or thigh NIBP cuff; 3–4 IBP channels with closed blood sampling; dual-site temperature; mainstream EtCO2 for intubated patients. Cardiac surgery needs simultaneous invasive monitoring across multiple sites, and esophageal core temperature is required for hypothermia protocols.

NICU (specialised N15 with neonatal module)

3-lead ECG trunk plus clip leadwires plus neonate radiolucent electrodes; neonate wrap reusable or neonate adhesive disposable SpO2; neonate NIBP sizes 1–5 with single-tube extension (confirm the A26 / A41 / A65 connector against the module); pediatric / neonate temperature probe; IBP umbilical artery monitoring if needed. Clinical reminder: 2-hourly site rotation and skin inspection are the primary defence against medical-device-related pressure injury (MDRPI) — see the Mindray neonate wrap SpO2 sensor page for detail.

Pediatric ICU (N12 / N15)

5-lead ECG trunk plus snap leadwires plus pediatric solid-gel electrodes; reusable pediatric finger-clip SpO2; pediatric NIBP cuff plus dual-tube extension; pediatric temperature probe; IBP and EtCO2 as needed.

Transport (N1)

N1 uses the 6-pin direct trunk: 5-lead 6-pin ECG trunk plus snap leadwires; SpO2 (7-pin Mindray-native is most common on the N1 — confirm); one or two NIBP cuff sizes; a strain-relief-reinforced SpO2 extension cable; a 6 m NIBP interconnect tube for the stretcher-to-monitor distance. Transport sees the highest mechanical stress on cables — the wide-grid dust-resistant strain relief addresses the connector-exit failure point.

PACU and step-down (N12 / N15)

5-lead ECG trunk plus snap leadwires plus adult solid-gel electrodes; reusable or disposable SpO2 (high turnover favours disposable); NIBP cuffs in 3–4 sizes per unit; optional temperature probe.

Mixed fleet — BeneVision N plus BeneView T

Hospitals running Mindray for 8+ years often have a mixed fleet: earlier BeneView T-series alongside current BeneVision N-series. What carries over:

Accessory category BeneView T ↔ BeneVision N Notes
ECG leadwire sets Interchangeable Standard yoke-to-leadwire interface
ECG trunk cables Generation-specific T-series trunk pinout differs from the N MPM
ECG electrodes Interchangeable Universal
NIBP cuffs (Y-series) Interchangeable Same Mindray standard
SpO2 sensors Depends on technology Interchangeable only if both run the same SpO2 technology
Temperature probes (YSI-400) Interchangeable Same standard
IBP cables Generation-specific T-series and N-series use different IBP cabling

When transitioning a fleet from BeneView T to BeneVision N over 12–24 months, standardise the interchangeable accessories (cuffs, electrodes, temperature probes, SpO2 where the technology matches) across both fleets and order generation-specific items (ECG trunks, IBP cables) only as needed per platform.

Common procurement pitfalls

  1. Ordering a 12-pin MPM trunk for the N1. The N1 uses the smaller 6-pin direct trunk. When buying ECG cables, specify "N1 transport" or "MPM module" by name.
  2. Ordering Mindray-native sensors when the monitor has Masimo SET or Nellcor OxiMax. Confirm the SpO2 technology per unit before ordering.
  3. Wrong neonate cuff connector (A26 vs A41 vs A65). The cuff body is identical; the connector varies. Photograph the existing cuff connector before reordering.
  4. Stocking reusable cuffs in only one size. A significant share of out-of-spec NIBP readings on adult patients trace to cuff-sizing mismatch rather than cuff brand. Stock 3–4 sizes per unit.
  5. Assuming BeneView T accessories transfer to BeneVision N. Some do, some do not — see the mixed-fleet table above.
  6. Ignoring the transducer brand on IBP adapter cables. A Mindray 12-pin IBP cable connects to an Edwards, Utah, B.Braun or Argon transducer depending on hospital protocol — the transducer-end fitting differs. Identify the disposable transducer in use first, then order the matching cable.

How to get a configuration review

Whether you run a pure BeneVision N fleet, a mixed N plus BeneView T fleet, or are planning expansion, MedLinket's configuration team will review your inventory. Provide your BeneVision and BeneView model counts, the SpO2 technology per model, the installed MPM module variants, your disposable transducer brand standard, and your current accessory inventory. There is no obligation to purchase.

Frequently asked questions

How do I tell which SpO2 technology my BeneVision has?

Check the SpO2 connector on the MPM module, the MPM module label, or the service menu (System Information → Module Status → SpO2 → Technology). Mindray-native uses a 7-pin connector, Masimo SET the LNCS connector, Nellcor OxiMax a 9-pin connector — each needs a different sensor family.

Will an N15 ECG trunk work on our N1 transport monitor?

No. The N15 uses a 12-pin MPM trunk; the N1 uses a smaller 6-pin direct trunk. They are not interchangeable. Stock both trunk types separately and specify the model by name on the purchase order.

Can BeneView T-series accessories be reused on BeneVision N?

Some — ECG leadwires, electrodes, NIBP cuffs and YSI-400 temperature probes carry over. ECG trunk cables and IBP cables do not, as the generations use different pinouts. SpO2 sensors carry over only if both platforms run the same SpO2 technology.
